Mujeres y Arte is part of an initiative to foster women artists by sponsoring their projects or art in our community. 

In October of 2006, Deeana Deolloz with her project, Luna Femenina became the first woman to be sponsored by LUPE Arte under this new program.

In addition, the first scheduled event as part as Mujeres Y Arte was a Leadership in Art Careers Seminar for young women in the Spring of 2007 which culminated with the presentation of the stage play, She Flies co-written by David Rice and Mike D. Garcia.  For this event, LUPE Arte invited Professional Women Artists in the areas of Leadership Skills, Theater, Dance and Film to workshop with young women from five area schools.  The event is now held annually in the spring with resounding success; the outcomes of the Seminar are presented at the end of the day for parents and the public in general.

Nuestro Programa Mujeres y Arte

Es un programa que se enfoca en las niñas y las Mujeres Artistas.  Desde el 2006, LUPE Arte ofrece un Seminario de Liderazgo y Carreras Artísticas para Niñas administrado por Mujeres artistas profesionales en varias disciplinas.  El objetivo del seminario es de tener un resultado para presentar al termino del seminario para el público en general destacando la idea que no se lleva mucho para cambiar la perspectiva de ser una líder en la comunidad y del arte en una niña.
